How I test?
Since I don't really know any person who work at night bar/club in Rotterdam so I decided to test on my friend instead, who currently live in the Netherland and some from my country (Vietnam).

First I send them a short description about the app but not talking too specific about it. They will be the person who act like an night worker who has just finish their nightshift, want to find something to relax/entertain on the way to home.

At the end I also send them a form to rate the interface and give some feedback.
My design level doesn't allow me to make an actual app for testing, I just have a mock-up of the interface. So the only choice I have is to send them a picture of each screen page I made, so they will response which button they want to click on, then continue until the user want to end.

Something like this:
Scenario: You have just finished your night shift in club Boudoir, Rotterdam. On the way to home, you need something to entertain so you download the app call Virtual Night.

This is your first time using the app.
he got confused from here
can't scan the QR code because he still standing in the club
Feedback:

-The color is too bright.
- Don't really like the moon silhouette.
- Need more detail instruction, especially in the map screen.
Because at this point I has just designed the first version of the app so a lot of things was missing, which led to a fail test. I stop the test after just 1 person as it requires a more detail interfaces to do this.
Second test
Things that I have improved from the first test:
- Add the weather
- Reduce the brightness of the color, add gradient, some drawings
-Add instruction in using the app
-More detail map navigation
-Replace the QR code with the collage poster, which takes inspiration from the artist's works.
Scenario: You have just finished your night shift in club Boudoir, Rotterdam. The weather is rainy outside. On the way to home, you need something to entertain so you download the app call Virtual Night.

This is your first time using the app.
Feedback:

-The information about the place is too vague.
-Usually when people end the shift they just want to go home rather than searching for the art, maybe try to find the art on their way to home.
Feedback:

-The beginning is easy to follow.
-But when it comes to the map, things get worse.
-The button need to be more standout
-Good idea, help the people find something fun after their shift, also promote for the art place.
Third test
Scenario: You have just finished your night shift in club Boudoir, Rotterdam. The weather is cloudy outside. On the way to home, you need something to entertain so you download the app call Virtual Night.

This is your first time using the app.
can't scan the QR code because she still standing in the club
it takes about 3 minutes of confusion for her to decide the next step
User 4
Feedback:

-Overall the app is ok
-It's really easy to follow, don't have to worry too much about getting stuck since there is always a help button on the screen.
-A little bit simillar to Google Map, exept for "find the art" service.
-The meaning is kind of off since no worker actually want to do this due to their tiredness.
User 5
Feedback:

-It is a fun experience.
-The design need more improvements, especially the shape drawings. Too formal design.
-Should add the recommendation service, introduce the new/fun location daily.
she was a little confuses right here but after reading this, things went quite well later
he still standing in the club so no poster was found to scan
User 6
Feedback:

-Nice technology, the design brings to me some nostalgic feeling.
-Need more detail introduction, since I still can't fully understand the app, what is the connection between the film and the art?
-This idea is actually engaging, help the user finding and observing the art via AR camera around various places of the city.
User 7
Feedback:

-The menu is kind of blank, lack of content and sad
-Can't compete with Google map
-Should add more instruction (or maybe I can't see the help button clearly)
-Should add more features like recommendations, art filter, etc
User 8
Feedback:

-Nice idea
-Why only night bar workers can use this, this also work well with tourist
-The worker might not really engage with this since mostly they just want to go home.
-The centraal station drawing need to be fixed, the rest of the design is fine.

log out in confusion
Things that I have learned after second test:
- The instruction might be there but its too hard to notice in the first time using, so the 2 users was really confuse in the testing.
- Lack of detail information about the art place as well as the film showing.
- The button need to be more standout
-So the result is quite obvious: both the testing was failed, they couldn't reach the poster.
Things that I have improved from the second test:
- Add the "Click here first" text when first time sign in the app, in order to make them notice and read the instruction first.
-Add more detail informations about the film showing and art place.
-Place the button "Help" in every screen, so the user will can't lost track when using.
-Replace the collage panel with the poster that have the concept of the app, and also blend it to an art place.
Things that I have learned after third test:
- There definitely a lot of worthy improvements compares to all the previous version. 4/5 user has succesfully reached the final step without less confusions.
- The design still need to be more polished
- Should add more recommendation service
-Sometime it feel like Google map, but with the art finding service.
-The connection between the art and night bar/club workers seems a bit force.
he talked to me inperson, so I just need to send the picture
