Close to each art place I place a big poster that match to the art concept of Virtual Night.

The poster is designed to somehow blend into the art work when you looking it from some specific angle.

The Idea

Virtual Night is an interface where the night bar/club workers meet Rotterdam public art collection via the 7th art form: cinema.

The purpose behind this app is to introduce to the user a way to releive the stresses after their nightshift, and feel themself as part of the artistic nightlife in Rotterdam.

The Design

The moon is the main symbol of Virtual Night, because the moon represent the night cleariest.

The moonlight triggers the release of melantonin which promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety. It's also something that the app rooting for.

The color, which mainly is Blue and Yellow, takes inspiration from NS train, which has became part of many Dutch cities.

My reflection

Two months is definitely not a long term of study, but it's still enough for me to learn something fruitful.

I learn to do a proper research, with teamworks and new methods of collecting the infomation.

I learn a whole new notion about Interface, experiment with that via some workshops, design thinking and be able to develop after various feedback session. It was really helpful.

I learn new things by myself, such as the AR camera, even when the result came out is not what I have expected.


Also via the art collection, I get to know more about Rotterdam, the night culture and the people who are part of this city.
